Introduction
The MyRedFlare SARWATCH system allows members to leave information about where they are going and when they expect to be back. If they fail to contact us again we send "Alert Messages" to the Trusted Contacts for member, including the travel details they have provided.
It is up to the trusted person contacted by us to decide how best to respond to this Alert Message... ranging from attempting to contact the traveller in any way possible through to contacting the authorities and requesting a full scale Search and Rescue operation.
MyRedFlare will NOT initiate any attempt to locate the missing traveller... that is entirely up to the Trusted Contact person.
We do, however, provide the following services to help Trusted Contacts via our "MISSING? Assistance" system:
- A "Missing Person Strategy Guide", filled with suggestions about how to go about locating a missing MyRedFlare member.
- Access to the MyRedFlare member's SARWATCH records after an Alert Message has been sent (up until the time the member logs in again and cancels the alert);
- Access to the last five historical SARWATCH records for that member. This may be useful to identify recent travelling companions who may be contacted, for example, or to demonstrate a regular pattern of use to the authorities;
- A list of contact details for Government, Law Enforcement and Search and Rescue organisations around the world who may be able to assist.
Full access to our "MISSING? Assistance" system is only available to specified Trusted Contacts after they have received a "SARWATCH Alert Message" when a member is overdue. That message includes a unique code which allows them to access to the member's SARWATCH details up until the time the member logs in again to MyRedFlare and cancels the alert.

Online access to
the member's SARWATCH records is available by clicking
"Member Details"
and entering your email address and the Access Code provided in that message.
